Abbiamo accolto con sconcerto le recenti dichiarazioni dell’ex Sindaco Montali rivolte al nostro movimento, sia per le modalità sia per i contenuti, anche in considerazione del fatto che non sono state precedute da alcun episodio di manifesto contrasto. Veniamo accusati di incoerenza per aver aderito nel merito ad un appello pubblico diretto a contestare la nomina di un tecnico della società che intende realizzare il Burchio nella commissione locale per il paesaggio. Lo abbiamo fatto sulla scorta di un principio condiviso all’unanimità da tutto il consiglio direttivo: che, su qualsiasi presa di posizione, avremmo guardato al contenuto nell’interesse del paese. Coerenza avrebbe imposto anche una sua adesione. Sempre nel comunicato, viene attribuito ad UPP un raggiunto accordo politico con i movimenti Alternativa Civica e Paese Vero. E’ superflua la pubblica smentita giunta da Attilio Fiaschetti per capire che si tratta di pura fantasia, anche in considerazione del quadro politico entro il quale UPP si sta muovendo, sia nei progetti sia nella propria attività di tesseramento. Venerdì 22 gennaio ne daremo un’ulteriore dimostrazione alle ore 21.15 presso la Sala Biagetti con un’iniziativa dedicata a temi di vera rilevanza pubblica, quali acqua potabile, consumo del suolo e dissesto finanziario di Banca Marche. Per avere rassicurazioni, alla Montali sarebbe bastata una telefonata piuttosto che affidarsi alle dichiarazioni fantasiose apparse su quegli organi di stampa da lei aspramente criticati e considerati inaffidabili. Per quanto ci riguarda, abbiamo sempre rispettato il suo ruolo di sindaco e di ex sindaco, offrendole pubblicamente di partecipare alle nostre iniziative, senza mai rinnegare il progetto di “Noi per Porto Recanati”. Se, per certi versi, riusciamo a comprendere lo sfogo e lo spirito di rivalsa, riteniamo inaccettabili la manifesta acredine e gli attacchi personali. Come sempre, rimaniamo disponibili al confronto, anche pubblico, a maggior ragione con chi abbiamo fino all’ultimo giorno sostenuto. A questo punto ci è chiaro che la Montali ha voluto smarcarsi da UPP; quanto al suo incubo ricorrente, quello di una candidatura a sindaco del nostro presidente Lorenzo Riccetti, possiamo già da ora restituirle sonni tranquilli. Da subito abbiamo detto che il nostro impegno sarebbe stato quello di adoperarci con tutte le nostre forze per perseguire obiettivi rilevanti per la città e di non disperdere energie nel rintuzzare attacchi gratuiti da parte di chicchessia, pertanto ci auguriamo che cessino qui le polemiche perché la città, e non solo, ne è stanca.
