La mostra, che vede esposte circa 40 opere tra dipinti e disegni conservati e messi a disposizione dalla vedova Domitilla Carnevalini Traietti e dal figlio Lorenzo, è curata dall’architetto Massimo Di Matteo con il Patrocinio del Comune di Recanati, Assessorato alle Culture e organizzata dall’Associazione Spazio Cultura; “La pittura di Costantino Traietti – ha detto Di Matteo –  forte di colore a stesure dense o graffiate a colpi di spatola, continua a turbare e ad interrogarci tramite i tanti volti, maschere generate dalle lacerazioni e alienazioni esistenziali, sbigottiti clown e simulacri dolorosi, e continua a sedurci attraverso i tanti paesaggi, tutti mentali, e le città lontane, variopinte epifanie o spettrali miraggi sull’estremo orizzonte dei territori. Ci sconcertano poi le visionarie trasmigrazioni di città, portate in volo da uccelli giganteschi, che si rapportano curiosamente e criticamente alle miracolose traslazioni del sacello di Nazareth. Possiamo invero cogliere una tensione etica in quella non-oggettività della rappresentazione di un mondo, tutto e solo interiore, e che tutto questo avvenga a Recanati non è casuale. Traietti ha maturato  i suoi capolavori che si legano profondamente al senso dei luoghi, dove lui ha passato una parte importante della propria vita, Loreto dove abitava e Recanati con l’influenza del pensiero leopardiano nelle opere dell’artista.

La pittura di Traietti, sottrattasi al mercato per difendere, rivendicandoli, la sua autonomia e i suoi contenuti, è rimasta nel recinto del suo volontario isolamento per ritrarre magistralmente, con sofferta partecipazione e inquietante iconicità, l’anima delle cose, il dentro e l’altrove”.

La mostra attuale  riporta Costantino Traietti, dopo tanti anni,  a Recanati  città che lo ha accolto per una Personale nel 1976 e per una mostra retrospettiva nel 2000.

Orario:  feriali e festivi  10–13  e  16-19  –  chiusura il lunedì
